About a month ago I went sketching high up in the Angles Forest with my friend Bryan Wong. This was a very fast sketch. It was so cold my fingers were numb and I was shivering. I should have known to pack warmer clothing. However, it was very beautiful up there. With the sun setting, the mountain side was a saturated purple and the last fingers of sunlight light touched the edges of the tree tops in warm contrast.
